Our day in Court

Some good news
Earlier this year we had an incident on Highway.  Once of our
patrollers heard the sounds of breaking glass at around 01h30.  He got
up to inspect, chased the suspect down Highway and up to Berg. Suspect
then jumped onto the roof of 2A Berg and property hopped into 84
Highway, 82 Highway, 65 Hillside and 3 Outspan Way until he was
finally caught more than 2 hours later behind the garden of
remembrance. Claire Anderson (complainant), Mathew Webster, and
Gillian Zannos (witness to trespass) were all in court on Tuesday last
week where the suspect pleaded guilty (his prints were found on the
car). He had 8 previous theft convictions. Neighbourhood Watch
co-ordination, team work and good follow up by the police, along with
an efficient day at the courts are all credited for this successful
conviction. Sentencing was set for another day.
